Dice score sheet

Scores a five-dice sheet, checks each entry belongs where it was put, and adds the bonuses.

It runs entirely in this browser tab: nothing you type is uploaded, and every draw comes from a seed the result prints.

Settings

Upper bonus at
Sixty-three is the usual threshold; families genuinely differ, which is why it is here. A number from 55 to 84.
The upper bonus
Thirty-five in the standard rules. A number from 0 to 100.

Which categories are still free, which is what somebody halfway through wants to know.

How to use it

  1. Paste your text into the box above, or open a file.
  2. Adjust the settings beside it until the result is what you wanted.
  3. Copy the result, or save it as a file. The result updates as you type.

Questions

Why does everything have a seed?
So that a roll can be checked. A draw here is a function of its seed: the same word gives the same result to you, to the person you send the link to, and to the desktop build. Leave it empty and a fresh seed is drawn and shown, so you can pin a roll after the fact.
Can I use this to deal cards for money?
No. The generator is reproducible on purpose and invertible from a single output, which is what makes it useful here and useless for that. It is not a cryptographic source of chance and the result says so.
Why is there no word list in the word finder?
Because a usable one is larger than this whole application, and a small one is worse than none: it says “not a word” about words. The list comes from you, and the result says how many words it searched so a search that found nothing is visibly a short list.
Does the chess reader have an engine?
No: no evaluation, no best move, no opening book. What it does is replay a game on a real board, which is a fact about the rules rather than an opinion about the moves — and it stops at a move that will not play rather than reading past it.
